How the phone price calculator works

The phone price calculator compares the same phone model across Dubai, India, USA, Singapore, Thailand and Europe in one view, converting every price to Indian rupees so you can compare like-for-like.

It answers questions like: is the iPhone cheaper in Dubai or India? What is the Samsung Galaxy S25 price in AED? Which country offers the lowest mobile price for a Pixel or OnePlus?

All prices are reference estimates — always verify the final price with the retailer before you buy.

FAQs

What is a phone price calculator?

A phone price calculator lets you compare a phone's retail price across multiple countries — Dubai, India, USA and Europe — instantly. It shows prices in local currencies and calculates the exact saving when buying in a cheaper market.

How do I use the phone price calculator?

Select a phone from the dropdown and hit Calculate. The tool shows the price in AED (Dubai), INR (India), USD (USA) and EUR (Europe) plus the saving in Indian rupees for each pair.

Which country has the cheapest mobile price?

For iPhones the USA and Hong Kong are usually cheapest. For Samsung flagships Dubai is often the lowest. Budget phones under ₹15,000 are typically cheapest in India. Use the calculator to check any specific model.

How the Phone Price Calculator works

The Phone Price Calculator shows you the estimated retail price of a phone across six major markets: USA, Dubai, India, Singapore, Thailand and Europe. Every price is converted to Indian rupees so you can compare directly and instantly see which market offers the lowest price for your chosen phone.

Prices are calculated from the phone's launch MSRP (USD), multiplied by a market-specific factor that reflects typical local taxes, import duties and retail margins. Each country's price then uses a mid-market exchange rate to convert to INR. This gives you an accurate like-for-like comparison without needing to check every retailer yourself.

Why phone prices differ by country

Phone prices vary between countries because of three main factors: taxes (UAE charges 5% VAT, India charges 18% GST, Singapore charges 9% GST), import duties (some countries charge additional tariffs on imported electronics), and retail competition (the USA and UAE have fiercely competitive retail environments that keep prices lower).

This means the same iPhone 17 Pro Max can cost ₹1,49,900 in India but only ₹1,21,000 in Dubai — a difference of nearly ₹29,000 for the exact same product. For Samsung flagships the gap is similar, and for budget phones the pattern reverses, with India being cheaper due to local manufacturing.

What "estimated landed cost" means

If you're thinking of buying a phone abroad, the sticker price isn't the full story. "Landed cost" adds taxes, customs duty, shipping and payment/foreign-exchange fees to give you the true total cost of buying in another country. Our calculator lets you estimate this so you can compare honestly against the Indian retail price.

For example, an iPhone 17 Pro Max bought in Dubai at AED 5,299 may cost about ₹1,21,000 at the exchange rate. Adding an estimated 10% customs duty and 2% FX fee gives a landed cost of roughly ₹1,36,000 — still ₹14,000 cheaper than the Indian retail price of ₹1,49,900. The calculator lets you adjust the duty and fee percentages to match your actual situation.

Common questions answered

Where are phones cheapest? For iPhones, the USA and Hong Kong are typically cheapest. For Samsung, Dubai is usually the lowest. Budget Android phones are cheapest in India.

Are prices real-time? No. Prices are reference estimates based on launch MSRP and typical retail pricing. Exchange rates change daily. Always confirm with the retailer before buying. Prices are checked periodically and shown with a "checked on" date.

How accurate is the comparison? Very accurate for like-for-like models (same storage, same variant). Variations arise from retailer promotions, bank offers and exchange-rate movements. Use the calculator to get the baseline, then verify current prices on the retailer's site.

Which phones show the biggest cross-country savings? Premium phones (iPhone 17 Pro Max, Samsung Z Fold 8, Samsung S25 Ultra) show the largest absolute savings because their base price is high and the tax differential has a bigger impact. Budget phones under ₹15,000 are often cheapest in India.
