🏆 Verdict
The honest comparison right now: the iPhone 17 is real, in stock, and has confirmed pricing today, including in Dubai. The standard iPhone 18 is no longer expected alongside the September 2026 event at all — current reporting has it delayed to spring 2027, launching alongside a new iPhone 18e. Only the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are confirmed for September 9, 2026. If you need a phone now, buy the iPhone 17 — its A19 chip and OLED display remain current-generation hardware and you'd otherwise be waiting close to a year for the standard iPhone 18's replacement.
